Charge for an event

A dinner costs money. Say what it costs, write down who paid, and Azonation keeps your books and gives the receipts.

  1. When you add the event, fill in What it costs: for each member, and for each adult and child who comes with them. Add how to pay.
  2. Members see the fee on the event page, and what it comes to for them once they say they are coming.
  3. Someone paid you? Open the event, tap Record payments, then Record a payment beside their name.
  4. Check the amount, choose where the money went (Cash or Bank), and save. The receipt is made and sent by itself.
A guest who is not a member paid? Tap Record a payment at the top and choose Someone who is not a member.
The payment is already in your books under Finance. Do not type it there again.
Money given back: the Fees page shows three figures: Received, Given back and Net kept (what the event has kept). For a payment you wrote down by hand, press Give money back, then choose how much (leave it as it is to give everything back), where the money came out (the cash box or a bank account) and the day it went back. A payment made online goes back to the card it was paid with; that is done on the Online payments page, and the refund is dated the day it goes back and comes out of the online payments place in your books.
Every refund is written in your books as money out under Refunds, linked to the payment it belongs to. The payment and its receipt stay as they were. Press Download refund note for a PDF on your organisation's paper: what went back, when, from where, and against which receipt. The report Money from events shows the money in, the money given back and what was kept. Refunds made before this change stay as they were.
