Community

Between meetings members want to ask each other something, plan a walk, or hear the news. The Community gives them groups to write in. Your organisation runs it: you decide who is in which group, and you can hide or remove what should not be there.

For your organisation

1. Open Community in your organisation's menu. It is switched off to start with. Tick that your organisation runs the community and looks after what its members write, and tap Switch the community on.
2. Make a group: tap New group. Say who is in it: every member, the members of a committee, the members of a branch (if you have branches), or members you choose. Say who starts posts: everyone in the group, or only the organisation (for announcements). You can switch comments off.
3. Tell the members of something new: choose for each group: never, when the organisation writes, or at every new post. It is a notice in Azonation, never an email, and a member can switch it off for themselves.
4. Open a group to read it, to search in it, and to write in it as the organisation.
5. Hide a post or a comment and members no longer see its words. Remove takes it away. You cannot change what someone wrote, and neither can anyone else.
6. Reported: when a member reports something, it shows here. Choose Leave it, Hide or Remove. What three members report is hidden by itself until you have looked.
7. Stop from writing: a member can still read but not write, until you let them again.
8. Settings: how long posts are kept (3, 6, 12 or 24 months; older ones are deleted by themselves), your own rules for members, and words that hold a post back until you have looked.
9. Every post waits for our yes: tick this for a group, and a member's post shows to the others only when you tap Approve.
10. Switch off: one group (tick off "The group is on") or the whole community (Settings). Nothing is deleted; it is all back when you switch it on again.

For a member

1. Open My memberships, your organisation, and the tab Community. It is there only when your organisation switched it on.
2. The first time, read how it works, tick I have read this and agree and tap Start.
3. Open a group. Write in the box and tap Post. Tap Comment under a post, or Answer under a comment.
4. Delete takes back what you wrote yourself. You cannot change it afterwards: delete it and write again.
5. Report tells your organisation about a post or comment that should not be there. The person who wrote it is not told who reported it.
6. Search in this group finds a word in posts and comments.
7. Stop notices at the top of a group, if you do not want to be told of what is new there. Leave the group takes it out of your list; you find it under Groups you left and can Come back at any time.
8. Do not show me what they write, under someone's post: only you stop seeing that member's words, and they are not told. Undo it under Members whose words you do not see.
