Help on a shift from the link in your email
An organisation can open a volunteering shift to anyone with its link. You put your name down without an account, and get a page of your own for that shift.
- Open the link: the page shows the shift, its day, time and place, and how many places are left.
- Type your name and email address, your phone if you like, and anything the organisers should know. Tick what you can help with and when you are usually free, if the page asks.
- Tap Put my name down. When the shift is full, tap Join the waiting list instead: if someone drops out, the person who has waited longest moves up and is told.
- The email you get holds a link to Your name on this shift. There you see Your pass for the door: a code the organiser scans when you arrive. On the day tap I am here; tap Take my name off if you cannot come after all.
The organisation keeps your name and email address only to plan this shift.
