Your website's pages and menu
With Website Plus your website is a full website: many pages, a menu in the order you choose, and each page made of sections you put in order. You choose what every page says.
- Open Website and email in your organization's menu, and press Pages and menu.
- The list shows your pages in menu order. Press the arrows to move a page up or down, and the switch to put it in the menu or take it off.
- Press Edit on a page to change its title, who may see it, its picture at the top, and its sections.
- Press Add page to make a page of your own. Choose Own page, give it a title and save. Then add its sections.
- Press Preview on a page to look at it first. The preview link works for an hour and shows drafts too. While the new pages are not yet on, the Website page has Preview the home page instead.
- When the pages are ready, press Use the new website pages. Visitors then see your pages and menu. To go back, press Go back to the one-page website. Nothing is deleted.
Built-in pages are Home, About us, Leadership, Membership, Events, Projects and welfare, News, Gallery, Contact and Privacy. You can rename them, change their order and switch them on or off. You cannot delete them: switch them off instead.
Sections are the parts of a page, from the top down: text, a picture with text (picture on the left or right), a quote or message, a document to download, a button (join, donate, another page or a web address), questions and answers, and facts in numbers. Each can have a heading.
Automatic sections fill themselves from your records: committee members, past office bearers, the members list, coming up and past events, the yearly program, projects, a donation appeal, member benefits, membership fees, the latest news, an album, a newsletter sign-up, the contact form and details, and a map link. They show only what is for everyone.
Members only on a page means that only people who sign in as members can read it. Visitors see that it is for members.
A page with nothing to show yet (for example News with no article) stays out of the menu, and its address says This page is being prepared. It comes back as soon as something is added. The Pages list marks it Empty: not in the menu.
The look is set on the Site settings page: the font (system, serif or rounded), the header (plain, or with a picture), and the color. Visitors on a phone or in dark mode see the matching look. Your own web address is set up as described in A website for your organization.
Counting visitors (Site settings) counts visits without cookies. The Website page then shows how many people came, how many pages they looked at, and the most viewed pages.
